Being a Grandma

I am the mother of an only child, I didn't plan it that way it just happened. I wanted more babies but it was not in the stars.
I am so proud of my daughter, Kendra, she has overcome some difficult obstacle in her life and she has come out of it all to be a beautiful, smart and fun young woman. I feel that she accomplished all of that on her own and I just feel lucky to be her Mom.
That being said, the most wonderful thing she did was to make me a Grandma! I am completely and overwhelmingly in love with my grandson, Jake. Being his grandma is so fun and interesting and fulfilling.
While my greatest joy before Jake was motherhood, I now realize how much better being Granny is and I am reveling in the job.
I am lucky enough to be the chief babysitter for Jake and I get to watch him, Monday through Friday until I go to work on my night shift.
My whole world has changed for the better!
He is just over 4 months now and has the sunniest, happy personality. He brightens everything for me. I do not have the anxiety's or the nervousness of a Mom so we just have lot's of fun together.
My daughter, son in law, Jake and I all live in the same house and it suits all of us quite well. It is perfect in this hard economy.
